Let your canine spend time with friends without messing up your home! Dog parks are great for socialization, fresh air, and space to run around and play in. Here are a few locations worth visiting.
Runyon Canyon Park
This is the place to go to treat your pup to fantastic views of the city and of the Hollywood sign. Your dog will get an unforgettable new perspective of Los Angeles.
Put on your hiking shoes and explore the trails for a grand adventure. Signs will mark the off-leash areas. You will need to keep your dog on a leash until you reach those signs.
The park is open every day from sunrise to sunset. Be sure to catch the sun setting (or rising!) to see an amazingly colorful sky above the city.
Lake Hollywood Park
What’s a greater subject for a photo op? Your dog or the Hollywood sign?
…What about both?
Head to Lake Hollywood Park for the best Instagram-worthy shots. Plus, there’s a large grassy area for your dog to romp around in. You can’t go wrong with this incredible location.
West Hollywood Park
This has two sections, one for small dogs and another for large ones. The areas are fenced in, allowing for off-leash play. There’s turf specially designed to keep paws cool and happy, without any rubber infill. Dog water stations will keep the pups hydrated and there are benches ready for humans.
William S. Hart Park
Come frolic in the wood chips of this local gem. Your pup will make plenty of friends in this fenced-in local dog park. Small, cozy, and friendly, William S. Hart Park is right on Sunset. A water fountain will quench your pup’s thirst on sunny days (and cloudy ones!). It’s a getaway in the middle of the city. Don’t miss it.
Westwood Dog Park
Got a small dog? What about a large one?
Want them to socialize with dogs of similar sizes?
Westwood Dog Park can make that happen. With two separate areas, your small pup won’t get lost among the larger dogs and your big dog will be able to play with other big ones.
There’s grass, dirt, and concrete in both sections. Grass! Yes, this park has it! There’s also plenty of room for all the dogs to run and play in, with water fountains readily available (and a couple fire hydrants too!).
